Dedicated to girls who hate waking up early.
A long intercontinental flight ushered in the dawn of a particularly cold day while the strong Mistral blew on the runway of a still sparse airport. Everything was mysteriously silent and everything seemed wonderfully frozen in Time. In just over ten years, she had the feeling that nothing had changed and that every nostalgic memory of her previous life resurfaced more and more in her memory. The city became more alive and surprisingly fervent, when an ancient and imposing structure built during the years of the Dolce Vita now dominated the scene: it is the Shevearly Palace. Its name, etymologically changed over the centuries and originating from a legend linked to North America, is the celebration of the Eternal Strength and Female Vanity of which she seemed to particularly represent. When the Concierge, opening the door of her car, said to her “Welcome back, Miss Shevearly!”, she understood that this trip represented the return of a distant and splendid decade that never completely ended. Against the backdrop of an opulent Grand Hotel and its Girls Club, where every eclectic form of art meets luxurious and contemporary design, a particular personality stands out that seems to recall the glittering owner who owned it: her daughter Shevearly with her chameleonic and eclectic personalities. Thus a sensational screenplay is born, developed under an exuberant, luxurious, extravagant, vain and at the same time delicate, romantic and absolutely glamorous perspective. The young woman sets off on an emotional and exciting journey into her past memories among objects and photographs, reconstructing childish, capricious and carefree moments during iconic and frenetic parties like those held in her Palace in the Nineties, comparing them to the new version of herself in a more responsible, confident attitude and with a whispered sobriety. The behavioral dualism of this figure is the real keystone of the narration and her choices. For the Fall/Winter 2024-25 Capsule Collection, an elaboration of volumes and materials is presented from the Timeless line, the iconic essential and timeless wardrobe that characterizes the idea of woman according to Francesco Arduini, and from the opulent and glamorous world of the early Nineties, in complete contrast to a young and austere vision with a Luxury Punk Young Street touch. The concept of a fragile introspective journey, a historic matriarchal family and the manifestation of an eternal vain and worldly essence are translated into a relationship that sees as protagonists on one side the manifestation of an unbridled public, exhibitionist and bourgeois luxury made of double-breasted coats in very soft velvets, tailored suits in charmelaine of pure combed virgin wool, sensual duchesse shirts, longuette skirts in laminated fil coupé, stoles and hats in faux Mongolian fur, bandoulière scarves in finely embroidered tulle and cascades of silver chains to simulate the scenic high jewellery of the Nineties, and on the other side the most intimate and essential value of one’s hidden personality made of simple, modern and dynamic lines such as very soft suits in pure wool jersey, enveloping cape dresses in warm technical knitwear, iconic minidresses and longuette dresses in technical cady, bucket hats in velvet and warm double-face mittens. All further emphasized according to a winter palette played on different shades: from the deepest black to the most delicate cream, from the most aristocratic royal blue to the most childish powder blue, from the luxurious and full-bodied red to the most passionate scarlet, from the relaxing malachite green to the brightest turquoise. The intention is therefore to give the image of a vain, brazen and exhibitionist femininity with a sweet, nostalgic and sophisticated soul in which the mysterious relationship between these, expertly generates a sensual personality and contemporary linearity of forms. We are not just talking about a story based on the eternal return to the origins but of a real introspective journey aimed at a new discovery of one’s essence.
